This summary is for convenience. The full Policy below is what applies.
This Privacy Policy explains how Awareness Performance Systems LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company doing business as Unseen Ally ("Unseen Ally," "we," "us" or "our"), collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit unseenally.com, use our members' areas, take one of our quizzes, buy a program or subscription, or communicate with us (together, the "Services"). "Personal information" means information that identifies you or could reasonably be linked to you.
Our checkout pages are hosted by ThriveCart at awareness-mastery.thrivecart.com; this Policy applies to the information we receive from them, and ThriveCart's own privacy policy applies to its processing.
When you use the Services, we and our service providers automatically record technical information such as your IP address, approximate location derived from it, device type, operating system, browser, language, screen size, the pages you view, the links you click, the site you came from, the dates and times of your visits, and how you interact with pages and emails (for example whether an email was opened or a link clicked). We collect this through cookies and similar technologies described in section 4.
We receive purchase confirmations and subscription status from ThriveCart, email engagement data from our email service provider, and — if you arrive from an advertisement — the campaign or source that brought you to us. We do not buy personal information from data brokers.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Cookies are small files placed on your device; pixels and similar technologies do a similar job. We use the following kinds:
| Type | What it does | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keeps you logged in, remembers your cart, protects against attacks. The Services cannot work without them. | WordPress login and membership cookies, security cookies, ThriveCart checkout |
| Functional | Remembers choices you make so you don't repeat them, and speeds up pages. | preference cookies, page caching |
| Analytics | Tells us how visitors use the site in aggregate — pages viewed, time on page, how people move through a page — so we can improve it. | Google Analytics; session-analytics tools that record how pages are used (never what you type into payment fields) |
| Advertising | Measures whether our ads led to a visit or purchase and lets us show relevant ads to people who visited our site on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. | Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API |
We do not respond to older "Do Not Track" browser signals, for which no common standard exists.
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing. We share it only as follows:
When you buy from us or sign up for a free resource, we may email you about related programs, offers and new content. You can stop marketing emails at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email or by writing to info@unseenally.com. We will still send transactional emails — receipts, login details, renewal reminders and service notices — because they are part of what you bought. We do not send marketing text messages.
We keep account and purchase information for as long as you have access to a program or an active subscription, and afterwards for as long as needed to handle refunds, disputes, tax and accounting obligations (generally up to seven years for purchase records). Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or your address has been inactive for a long period. Analytics data is retained on the schedule set with the analytics provider and is aggregated or deleted after that. When information is no longer needed we delete or anonymize it.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), firewall and login protection on our website, and payment processing by PCI-compliant providers so that card details never touch our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us right away.
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
To make a request, email info@unseenally.com from the address associated with your account and tell us what you would like us to do. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within 30 days (or the shorter time required by your local law). We will never treat you differently for exercising your rights.
If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the rights in section 10 and, in addition, the right to opt out of the "sale" of personal information and of its "sharing" or processing for targeted advertising, and the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect sensitive personal information as those laws define it, and we do not use it for anything beyond delivering the Services).
In the last 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information described in section 2 (identifiers, commercial information, internet activity, and inferences drawn from quiz answers to deliver your results), for the purposes in section 3, and disclosed them to the service providers in section 5. Our use of the Meta Pixel and similar advertising technologies may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under some of these laws. To opt out, use the choices in section 4, enable Global Privacy Control in your browser, or email info@unseenally.com with "Do not sell or share" in the subject line. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request for you; we will ask for proof of that authorization. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Awareness Performance Systems LLC is the controller of your personal information. We rely on the following legal bases:
You also have the rights to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (for the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office). Our Services are provided from the United States; see section 13.
We are based in the United States and our service providers store and process information there and in other countries where they operate. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from those where you live. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision, and on our providers' equivalent commitments, to protect information transferred out of the EEA, UK or Switzerland.
The Services contain links to sites and services we do not operate, such as ThriveCart, YouTube or social networks. This Policy does not cover them; please review their privacy policies before providing information.
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the current version. If we make material changes we will notify you by email or by a notice on the Services before they take effect.
